Service Engineer

Location: Coimbatore (Tamilnadu)

The jobholder " Service engineer " is responsible for expanding customer relationships and handle service activities in the after-sales area by fixing issues, installation & commissioning of machines & automation solutions. Furthermore, by providing maintenance advice and training our valuable customers & partners, thus actively playing a crucial role in improving the service quality and customer satisfaction.
Tasks
- Based on your experience & technical expertise, you will be responsible for the service activities for the region South India. Specially focusing on areas Coimbatore & Kerala.
- Commissioning , installation & startup of Injection moulding machines and robots
- Carry out Mold trails, process analysis, energy study analysis & continuous improvement programs
- Handling of customer complaints and claims related to service activities
- Technical & commercial clarifications of customer inquiries during retrofits of new machine selection process
- Establishing customer relationship and competent contact person around all service related topics & solutions
- Documentation & flawless communication on customer related issues to internal stakeholders & head quarters
- In service, you will be a competent partner for our customers offering spares quotes and information, supported by the back office
- Product promotion ( participation in trade fairs, service workshops, co-visit customer sites with sales team)
- Accomplishing the ENGEL Care activities of your region
- Reporting to head of the department - Country head customer support division
Requirements
- Technical education in Bachelor of engineering in any one of the stream ( Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or Mechanical )
- Post Graduate holders from CIPET are preferred
- Work experience min 3 - 5 years
- Plastic industry preferably gone through production & maintenance departments
- Worked as a service engineer in an Injection moulding machine industry
- Technically strong in electrical circuits, hydraulics & mechanical assembly
- Very good command of written and spoken English is mandatory.
- South region - Tamil – spoken fluently, Malayalam language an advantage
- Analytical and technical understanding - dynamic and collegial personality.
- Willingness and pleasure in continuous learning and development
- It is easy for you to inspire your stakeholders for the best technical and service solutions
- Structured and conscientious way of working
- You are characterized by strong communication skills combined with high degree of target and solution orientation
- Well versed in MS products (excel, PowerPoint), MS- teams, SharePoint
- Exposure to customer relationship management tools (MS dynamics, Sales force) an added advantage
- Flexibility and willingness to travel
- You use your expertise to find suitable solutions for complex problems and technical solutions
